Each portrait is thoughtfully painted to capture more than physical likeness — preserving the personality, presence, and emotional connection that make your pet, person, or place truly irreplaceable. Whether honoring a companion currently by your side or memorializing one deeply missed, every piece is created with care, intention, and a timeless aesthetic designed to be cherished for generations.
Art has been part of my life for as long as I can remember.
One of my earliest memories is from first grade, when I proudly brought home a drawing of Adam and Eve — without fig leaves. The nun who sent me home was less than impressed. I only wish I'd saved that masterpiece.
I've been painting ever since.
For 25 years, I owned and operated a graphic design firm serving national clients in finance, pharmaceuticals, and higher education — building a career around visual storytelling, precision, and the power of a well-crafted image. In 2010, I began taking portrait commissions alongside my design work, and it didn't take long to realize where my heart truly was. By 2020, I had retired from design to paint full time.
Today, my hand-painted portraits hang in private collections across the country. Each one is a collaboration between my brush and your story — crafted with the eye of a designer, the hand of a painter, and the heart of someone who understands how much these bonds mean.
Whether your pet is still stealing food off the counter or is now a cherished memory, every portrait I create is painted to capture more than physical likeness. It preserves personality, presence, and the emotional connection that makes them irreplaceable.
Your portrait isn’t just a likeness—it’s a legacy.
When you commission a portrait with me, I work closely with you from start to finish:
• We’ll discuss the heart of what you want to capture.
• I’ll send sketches and updates along the way.
• And only when it’s exactly right will it leave my studio.
If you’d like to begin your own portrait—or simply ask a few questions—please contact me.
“I cried. The portrait is so beautiful and so alive—it is like looking right into his eyes. How you managed to capture Haze’s combination of spirit and gentleness without ever having met him is simply amazing.”
